HOW TO CREATE A FACILLY PERSONALIZED TISSU FOR YOUR CUTTING PROJECTS?

Good news: creating your own custom fabric is now possible directly on our site. You choose the pattern, you change the colors, you adjust the size of the drawing, you select your material, and we will print it for you, the meter, from our workshop in the Var.

We've all heard you say this before: "I love this pattern, but the color doesn't suit me." Or, "This fabric is perfect... But the drawing is really too big for what I want to do."

We understand you. And that's exactly why we developed our customization option. The idea is simple: you should no longer have to adapt your project to the available fabric. It is the fabric that must adapt to your project.

Then we explain everything, step by step. No technical jargon, no headshot. Just a little guide so you can get started with confidence.

Why we launched this customization option

At Tissus PriceWe've been selling fabrics online for years. And over time, we've accumulated a lot of feedback from you. Positive feedback, of course, but also small frustrations that could not be ignored.

Most common? Finding the right one pattern in the wrong color. Or fall in love with a fabric, but realize that the scale of the drawing is not at all suitable for the project in mind.

After more than 16 years in textiles and printing, we decided to propose a real solution: let you take the orders. Because you're in the best position to know what you need.

Here's what it changes for you:

  • You get the colors you have in mind, not the ones we have in stock.
  • You adapt the size of the pattern to your sewing project, not the other way around.
  • You create a unique fabric that no one else will have.
  • You can easily match several creations between them.
  • You save precious time, without running after the ideal fabric.

An example that speaks

Suppose you prepare a dress in terracotta tones, with a matching bag and some coordinated accessories. You find a pattern floral that you really like... except that it is available in blue. It used to be resilitory. Now you simply change the color in our tool, and the pattern becomes exactly what you needed. Coherent project, made neat, zero compromise.

That is the strength of the Textile customisation.

Step 1 - Choose your pattern

That's where it all starts. On our site, some patterns are customizable, you easily recognize them with the mention "Personalize me" displayed on the product sheet. They are also all in our category custom fabric per metre, so you don't have to look.

To choose the right one patternIt's better to start with your project. Ask yourself these three questions:

  • What style do I look for, graphic, floral, soft, childish, modern?
  • For what use: clothing, accessories, decoration?
  • How large pattern Will be the most consistent with the sewing piece?

To help you identify yourself, here are some trends based on the most common projects in our community:

Type of patternIdeal for
Floral motifsDresses, blouses, accessories
Geometrical patternsDecoration, cushions, bags
ChildrenBaby clothes, snorkels, sweaters
Minimum groundsModern fashion, casual outfits

Once your pattern found, you can go to the next step, the most fun, according to many of you.

Step 2 - Change colors

This is often the favorite time. Because that's where the fabric really starts to look like you.

In the customization tool, you can change colors in two ways, depending on what suits you best:

  • Via the visual chart: you click on the color that attracts you, simple as hello.
  • Through a hexadecimal color code (#): If you have a precise palette in mind, to match an existing outfit or to reproduce an exact color, you enter the code directly and it is set.

Don't worry if the hexadecimal code is unknown to you. Just do a quick search on Google with the desired color (e.g. "hex sage green code") and you will find your answer in two seconds.

To understand everything about this step, a comprehensive guide was prepared: How to change the color of a custom fabric.

Step 3 - Adjust the size of the pattern

A detail that changes everything. One pattern too big on a child's garment, too small on a curtain, and the whole thing no longer works, even if everything else is perfect.

Good news: you can adjust this directly in the tool. By default, the patterns are displayed at 100% of their original size. You can expand or reduce them freely, without the need for editing software or technical knowledge.

If you still hesitate, our guide explains everything: How to change the size of a pattern on fabric.

Step 4 - Choose your material

Last step before validating, not least. Matter is what will give life to your fabric: its touch, its fall, its strength, its way of acting during washing. A beautiful pattern well coloured deserves a material to the height.

More than 30 different materials are available for custom printing. To cover virtually all needs:

For clothing

  • Cotton fabric: breathable, natural, timeless for everyday clothes.
  • Chiffon : light and fluid, perfect for summer clothing.
  • Popeline : tight weaving for a beautiful clean rendering, ideal for shirts and blouses.
  • Satin fabric: bright and soft, for dressed pieces or elegant accessories.

For decoration and furnishing

  • Cotton canvas : robust and resistant, for cushions, covers and decorative panels.
  • Velvet: warm and textured, for an interior decoration that throws it away.
  • Blackout : ideal for creating curtains.
  • Burlington fabric : fluid, resistant, this mixed fabric allows to make curtains, tablecloths...

For the outside

  • Waterproof fabric: rain resistant, designed for garden cushions and blinds.

Do you hesitate between two subjects? You can order a sample before you start. We prefer that you receive exactly what you need.
